I am drawn to stories—spoken, written, and especially the ones held in symbol.
Nature is my spiritual home, and my work lives at the inter-section of storytelling, symbolism, and the quiet language of the earth. Through stone, metal, and form, I create pieces that invite connection—both to the natural world and to something deeper within.
Raised by creative, nature-loving parents, I grew up immersed in books, music, art, and the wonders of the natural world (including, quite literally, a human skeleton in the closet). Summers were spent camping in Wisconsin and Canada, where a lifelong reverence for nature took root.
My path has been anything but linear. After becoming a mother at 16, I built a career in communications, marketing, and story-telling—working with a professional theater company, an advertising agency, and eventually my own businesses. In the early days of the internet, I led a team creating websites while translating clients’ stories into the digital world. Later, I created an art guide to Washington’s San Juan Islands, where I had relocated.
During the pandemic, my lifelong fascination with stones and symbolism found new expression. What began as personal amulets—pieces designed to reflect an individual’s story—evolved into a broader body of work, including gemstone jewelry and sculptural trees formed from wire and stone.
Each piece I create is an invitation: to feel grounded, supported, and surrounded by a quiet, intentional beauty. Many works are accompanied by written reflections—stories waiting to be discovered, and perhaps, recognized.
